IN EVERYTHING BY PRAYER AND SUPPLICATION

Philippians 4 vs 6

Be careful for nothing; but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.

A prayerless Christian is a powerless Christian. A prayerless church is a powerless church. The command watch and pray that ye enter not into temptation by our Lord Jesus is not meant for the apostles of old alone but is still very much valid in our time (Matthew 26:41). A Christian cannot survive in this wicked world without prayers and supplications to God. The Apostle Paul in his letter to the Philippians instructs us to be anxious for nothing but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving make our requests known to God (Philippians 4:6). 

Prayers is not a choice for a believer, it is a must. Someone said, he who kneels in secret before God will stand tall in public before men. We must pray without ceasing if we don't want to be preys to the devil (1 Thessalonians 5:17). 

How burning is your alter? How much do you spend interceding for others, your nation and the Church at large?
