THE BEST KIND OF RELATIONSHIP

 

TEXT: Revelation 3 vs 20

Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If any man hear My voice and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with Me.

So many feel it's only when they are in a relationship with the opposite sex can they have true happiness. This is not so true. While having a relationship with an opposite sex who understands you as a person, loves you and support you, can make you feel happy, the only kind of relationship that gives you a true and permanent happiness which extends to joy is a relationship with Jesus.

A relationship with Jesus is the best kind of relationship one can go into. Oh! How sweet it is to be in a relationship with our Lord Jesus. He is the only one who can never hurt you, cause you pain, break your heart or even disappoint you. He loves you even more than you can ever love Him. He knows your flaws and weaknesses yet, He loves you still. He is not mad at you because of your weaknesses. He is so forgiving and will always welcome you when you hurt him and ask for His forgiveness. He is merciful, loving, compassionate. He is the greatest giver ever. He will give you all your needs according to His riches in glory (Philippians 4:19).

What more do you want in a relationship? No human can suit you as much as Christ does. 

Stop running around looking for a girl or boy who would make you feel happy. Jesus is readily available for you. He is knocking at the door of your heart. All He wants from you is to let Him in and He will have a love relationship with you that will last forever. You have nothing to lose going into a relationship with Jesus but everything is there for you to lose if you refuse to let Him into your heart.

Only Jesus can meet all your needs. He is the perfect one for a relationship with you. Seek to know Him first and all of your other needs will be granted you (Matthew 6:33).
