YOUTHFUL AND USEFUL

 

TEXT: Ecclesiastes 12 vs 1

So remember your Creator while you are still young, before those dismal days and years come when you will say, “I don't enjoy life.” 

So many have refused to serve God because they believe they are still very young and have life to enjoy. While our youthful age is full of pleasure, our decisions during this age counts. One who misses it as a youth may never get it right again or live to regret as he/she becomes older.

It pays to serve God in our youthful days. The strength for service, the agility and all other virtues for active service to God is still available in this period of our lives. Rather than using your strength to serve the devil, I urge you to use them in glorifying God.

There are lots of things we would not be able to do when we become old. Partaking in activities that requires strength becomes difficult for us (like going out to evangelize). I therefore encourage you to make yourself useful to God while you are youthful.
