DO YOU KNOW ABOUT GOD OR YOU KNOW GOD?

 

TEXT: Job 42 vs 5-6

In the past I knew only what others had told me,
    but now I have seen you with my own eyes.
⁶ So I am ashamed of all I have said
    and repent in dust and ashes.

 

Like Job, so many know about God. They have heard about Him from what others have told them but in truth, they really don't know Him. Take a moment and ask yourself, DO I REALLY KNOW GOD?
True repentance can only come from an encounter with God. It is one thing to know about God and another thing to know God. An encounter with God will change our perceptions about life and cause us to value only the things that counts with God. You can't love what the world loves and claim to have love for God (1 John 2:15-17).  Pray to God to help you see life the way He sees it and to value only the things He values.
