THE TRUE LEADER

 

TEXT: Philippians 2 vs 3-8

So many are fighting for positions to lead and not serve. Majority of people wants to be leaders and not  servants. Our role model as believers, Jesus Christ, redefined who a leader is. He said a leader is actually one who is willing to serve. He Himself (i.e, Jesus), is our perfect example of who a true leader is. He came not to be served but to serve (Matthew 20:25-28). He was gentle, humble in heart, sacrificing and loving (Matthew 11:29)

Jesus was by nature God, yet He made Himself nothing and was obedient to His father even unto death 

(see Philippians 2:7-8). 

A true leader is one who places others before Himself. One who is not obsessed with his selfish ambitions but rather value others above himself. Christianity is about trusting God to help you develop the kind of attitude that Christ Jesus had (see Philippians 2:5).
